Welcome, everyone, to the Seay Law Firm’s Texas tax law blog. It will primarily cover Texas tax law. We’ll use this space to provide updates on current events in Texas tax law, as well as provide a more in-depth look into various tax related topics that strike my interest. My goal is to make this blog both useful and entertaining to read, particularly for CPAs, tax attorneys, and other tax experts.
For this first post, I’ll sacrifice my goal of being entertaining to hopefully provide something you’ll find useful. I’ve attached an outline of Texas tax law court opinions. The Third Court of Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court published these decisions over the last year. I hope you find it helpful–feel free to send an e-mail or leave a comment if you have any questions or comments. In the weeks ahead, I may provide a deeper discussion of some of these cases, as well as certain other cases currently working their way through the system. Several of these cases could mean major changes for some Texas businesses.
